Risa

Today we went to the Badlands. They were really pretty! The cliffs were HUGE!!!!!! I'm scared of heights. I tried to climb a mountain of rock, but I got stuck and couldn't come down because whenever I touched the rock it crumbled. Later, we saw some more awesome cliffs. We got to walk on them over a valley. It was a loooooooooooooooong way down. I walked all the way to the farthest point on our cliff. It was really cool! Later, we played on the yellow mounds. They weren't all yellow, though. Some of them were rainbow!!!! After we drove awhile, we saw an antelope. Then, we saw some cows that my dad thought were bison. Later, we saw some prairie dogs. They were adorable!!!! We also saw a turkey vulture and even a rare burrowing owl! On the way home, we stopped at Wall Drug. It's a multimillion dollar tourist trap that got famous... For free ice water. That's ridiculous! Tomorrow we're driving six hours to Cody, Wyoming. :( It's going to be booooooooring. Wish me luck!
